I am seeking more information on C.H. Carney, who married my husband's great-great
aunt, Agnes Howard, sometime between 1890 and 1905. I only have one record of them for
the 1910 U.S. census, living with Agnes' sister, Anna, and her husband, Joseph Ellwood
in Chicago, Ill.
The little information I have on Mr. Carney is that he was born about 1885 in Illinois.
His parents were also born in Illinois. However, Agnes was born 10 Jun 1880 in Co. Clare,
Ireland. She and her family came over between 1887 and 1890. She and her family members
became naturalized citizens in the 1890s.
He and Agnes had at least two daughters: Ethel and Marie. Ethel was born about 1906 and
Marie was born about 1909, in Chicago, Ill. The Carneys are no longer with the Ellwoods
in 1920 and I've tried to locate them in the 1920 and 1930 censuses with no luck so
far.
I am trying to locate living descendents of my husband's paternal family. My
husband's direct paternal line has died out, with him and our son as the only
one's left. We are hoping to establish contact with cousins from the extended family.
I have made positive contact with 3 cousins, so far.
If anyone recognizes this family, please let me know.
Thanks!
Pamela
