Thanks for the response. I've used the Lott Carney Family book by Chas. Walker.
There has long been some confusion among researchers about Silas' children, including
even their names. Several shifted their names as they grew older. e.g. Aaron P. became
Lewis, etc. You listed a Carter Greeley as a son, b 1888. Greeley, in his WW I
registration gave 9 Dec 1879 as his birth date. That corresponds to the Bingham (Brigham)
listed with the parents on a census, and most seem to have concluded that Greeley and
Bingham were the same person. It was "Generel Custer" who was b 18 Jul 1887, d 6
May 1963.
In that application for inclusion on the Guion Miller Cherokee rolls, which was not
granted, Silas described himself as a first cousin once removed of Shoshonie Reece.
"Shonie" Corbin 1888-1953, a daughter of Ara Arminda (King) Corbin, md Cicero
Lee Reece, and she's also buried at the Old Damascus Cem. Shoshonie's
grandparents were Susanna Carney and John Terrell King.
