Indians
Hi,
My g5 grandfather was John Carney b. about 1700 in Stafford Co., Virginia.
My
g4 grandfather was Thomas, b. 1741 in Stafford Co. My g3 grandfather
was
Thomas Jr., b. 1789 near Nashville, North Carolina. Thomas Jr. and his
wife
Nancy Susan Warmoth homesteaded in Edwards County, Illinois in 1814.
Their
oldest child (an infant died on the way) was Calvin Carney, who moved with
his parents and his own family to Barry County, Missouri in 1845. Calvin
was
my g2 grandfather. My great-grandfather was Calvin's youngest
child,
George.
George's (called Cooney) oldest child was my grandfather,
Benjamin
Franklin
Carney. My father is BFC II and I'm BFC III. I have no children,
so my
brother named his boy BFC IV. And on we go. All my life there was
speculation
that native Americans were part of the family, but I have discovered
no
proof. Ben
