If your Carney's have a Kentucky connection, where in KY? I too have a
Robert Lee Carney in my line, but not the same as yours. Could be a
cousin??
My Carney line came from East Tennessee after the Civil War and went to
many places including Louisville, McCreary County, and Pulaski County.
Please check my site to see if any of my Carney names are from your line.

I live in Barren County, KY, so if I can be of any assistance, let me know.

Dear Laresa K
Thanks so much for the information you posted on the Carney family. I
am researching John Carney of Stafford County VA; his daughter Sarah
married John Anderson, who also lived in Stafford Co VA. John Anderson
died during the Rev War in SC; she moved to KY with her children and
died there. That's pretty much all I know about this Carney family to
date. I would very much appreciate learning about John Carney and all
of his family.
Thanks very much, and I look forward to hearing from you.

SInce I am still at the beginning of my search for ancestors or reletives in
the USA and Ireland, your letter is interesting. I have been doing this for a
while ,but no luck for the few years I have searched.
MY family is apparently from Kentucky prior to them moving to Illinois.
Blane Carney who was a twin(dont know his brothers name) . My fathers name was
Robert Lee Carney who has two brothers Bobby and Danny(now I think living south
of Chicago). Does this ring a bell with you or anyone out there.
