Hi All,
My great grandmother was Catharine Carney. The only information I have
from relatives is that she was from Cork, lived in Boston and then
Brooklyn, NY. Born approx. 1868. Died 1936. She was married to Michele
Pellegrino.
The family does not remember any siblings or other family members she might
have had.
My grandmother told me that Catharine & Michele adopted her as a baby from
Elizabeth Fitzgerald/Adolph Barr. I've searched Mass and NY for my
grandmother's birth certificate and have had NO luck. Ethel (Barr or
Fitzgerald) (later to become Ethel Pellegrino) was born September 4 or 5,
1898.
I thought I might find a connection between Catharine and Elizabeth but so
far (Carney and Fitzgerald ---- nothing has come up.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving,
Mary Ann
