I too have a CARNEY. Mine was Patrick who was transported from County Cork
in 1835. He was 13 years old. There has always been talk that Patrick's
brother William followed him out in 1837 aboard the Heber but I have never
been able to prove this. On the ships logs, Patricks name was CARNEY.
Williams was spelt KEARNEY. I think it depended on who was writing it down.
