MISS MARY CARNEY
DECEMBER 31, 1925
Miss Mary Carney died at St. James hospital, Pontiac, at 8:45 Wednesday (Dec. 30) evening,
December 23, 1925. She was in good health until about eighteen months ago, when she
suffered a paralytic stroke and remained in poor health thereafter.
the funeral services were conducted in SS. Peter & Paul's church in Chatsworth at
9:30 Saturday morning by the pastor, the Rev. Fr. Hearn and the remains were laid to rest
in St. Patrick's cemetery.
She leaves to mourn four sisters and three brothers, John, Bernard, Thomas, Mrs. M.
Stranigan, Mrs. O. Kurtenbach, Miss Kathryn, of Chatsworth and Miss Agnes, of Chicago.
Those from a distance that attended the funeral were; Wm. Carney and son, Bernard, of
Kankakee; John Schible, of Kankakee; Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Donovan, of Joliet; Mr. and Mrs.
Dennis Deany, of Rantoul; Miss Ida and Mary Scofield, of Streator; Miss Julia feeley of
Chicago; Harold Donovan; Mr. and Mrs. Donovan and sisters, Misses Mary, Nellie and Alice,
of Chicago; thos. J. Donovan, of Chicago; John O'Neil and daughter, Mary Grace, of
Chicago; Misses Alice, Kathryn and Martha O'Neil, of Chicago; Miss Coentha Murphy and
brother Francis and James of Chicago.
