I found in the 1881 Census put out by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints some more information on my Carney family Michael and his wife Ellen "Burk Burke" Carney both born in Ireland in 1815 where is a ? but they immigrated
to Kingston Ontario Canada where they started their family Thomas 1847, John Edward 1852, Michael 1856, Joseph 1858, Francis P "Frank" 1860, and Annie Mariah 1861 all of the children were born in Kingston Ontario Canada some where between 1871 census and 1881 Census they moved to Belleville, Hastings West Ontario Canada. Thomas had moved out and started a family of his own and married Maria of Scottish decent but born in Ontario Canada in 1855, Thomas and Maria had two children Francis who most likely goes by Frank and born in 1879, and Margaret who was born in 1880. of these families John Edward in our GGGrnadfarther who married Frances Mary O'Malley. Hopefully this information will reach some of our living Carney family and they will write us I am John Lane hope to hear from you soon.

My greatgrandfather was Owen Kearney(also Carney) from Co. Tyrone. Grandfather James born about 1870 at Marriott St. in south Philly. James married Mary Ann Drennan. James had many children from 1893 to 1914 in South Philly. Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Philip Neri parish . Not much help to you but at least if your research runs across my family you'll know that you're not related. Good luck. Brendan Carney
