Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I couldn't agree more that all queries should contain at least an approximate
geographic and date range. Would be most helpful in determining whether
families intersect anywhere on the timeline.

Sorry, I can't help you. My mother is a Carney. That is the line of the family tree I'm working on. The only if I have is Lemuel and catherine's children and grandchildren.
Sorry I couldn't help more!!! Good luck.
I think it would be nice if all queries had the state and time frame to help
us know what family someone is referring to, where they were and was it
1750-1850-1950?

Dan,
we forgot that either Edmund/Edward or Elizabeth could not speak plainly or the man who made the gravestone was deaf....it says Eliethebeth, remember ? Maybe the census takers just couldn't tell what in the world they were saying ! Edmond/Edmund/Edward ! Of course that doesn't explain why the other ones used the names interchangeably ....
Just a strange family, I guess....after all, 3 of them married Kings !!

I'm not descended from Edmond T. It's the descendants of his brother Shem that particularly interests me though I'm also interested in all related Carneys. Edmond, Edmund, Edward all seem to be variations of spelling for the Carneys, and that phenomenon applies to Shem's line for multiple generations. I don't know whether they used the names interchangeably or whether it was census takers and court clerks who caused the confusion.
