To anyone out there,
If anyone can help I would be forever grateful. My husbands
family is filled with divorces and unfriendly ones at that. My mother
in law claims that my father in law's g g grandmother or g grandmother
was a Chinaberry and married a Carney or a Hackney she wasn't sure
which. My father in law doesn't give us any information at all because
he thinks I'm being nosey. His father was Austin Hackney and his mother
was Mary Jane Carney both from the Tarrant and Parker Co areas of
Texas. If anyone has any insight into this name please let me know.
The father of this grandmother was suppose to have been a judge in
either Kentucky or Tennessee. Who knows!! Please Help

I know we've communicated before, but I don't have your informaton right at
hand...
My Carneys were brickmasons also. Do you happen to know where in Ireland
Dan was from? I have a Patrick (born abt. 17 MAR 1826 in Shinrone, King's
County (Co. Offaly) Ireland) and tentatively Michael (b. circa 1834), both
brickmasons, who lived in Bay City, Michigan post 1867)
