it would be interesting to fine as many of Joseph Carnes' descendants that
fought the Wars, then maybe we be able to put some of the missing Links
together...
I wished I some extra time, I would set up a site for the Carnes of all the
Carnes who had faught the wars...I bet that would be a real big help of
finding Missing links..but with my 2 yr twins keeping me really busy....I am
surprised I still have my santy left.

My GG grandfather William Shipley Carnes was private, Co. A, 27th KY
Volunteer infantry US.
His uncle Clayton William Carnes was 2nd LT, CO. L, 21st Texas Cavalry
CSA. I am sure there
are lots more. As far as I have seen, only my GG grandfather was a
Yankee
