Maybe I did not make my self clear on what I wanted. The message that I
received is below and I was not questing this, I found the message that I
posted with my question in the Carnes List Archives, I have not found a
cemetery or anything else on the Carnes except a 1920 Census that List
CARNES, MALLIE - AUNT; F; W; AGE 59 WID; BORN IN GA. BOTH PARENTS BORN IN
GA.
for years I have worked on the Rowe/Barnett family, and could never find
anything on Margaret J. Rowe, until I found the 1920 Census Ga. Gwinnett
Co. Martins Dist page 6A and Mallie Carnes is listed as Aunt to James
Madison Rowe and living in his household. With this clue I check out the
Carnes List Archives on Roots and found the message that I posted.
The dates on Margaret Rowe and Margaret Carnes are almost the same, and
Margaret Rowe name her son James Madison, and this was the custom at that
time to name your sons after a father or brother. Then Malllie Carnes is
listed as an Aunt on the 1920 Census. So she is either a sister to his
mother or sister in law to his mother, or she is related to the Barnetts,
but the census says Aunt and she is in his household and Margaret Rowe named
her son James Madison. This is all that I have to go on as of now. That is
why I asked for help from the Carnes List.
I hope this clears up any mistakes.

Subject: Carnes
Do you think your Peter Carnes, who's grave you found at Rockmart, could
have been a "Jr." and his father was Thomas Peter Carnes from who the town
of Carnesville, Ga. was named?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------
No that is not what I think.
I was asking about this:
1. Could Margaret J. Rowe (born 1834) be Margaret Carnes (born 1832) ?
2. If she is then maybe James Madison Rowe her son was named for her
brother, James Madison Carnes b 2/28/1826, ?
3. Does any one have any information on Mallie Carnes, that is listed as
Aunt on the 1920 Census of Gwinett Co., Ga. living in the household of James
Madison Rowe ?

This is from the Carnes List Archives: (I posted all of the message
before)
Potential children of Elizabeth and Peter are:
Junnie b 1820 (yes, I know a 12 or 13 year old mother is unusual ...
perhaps
an earlier marriage by Peter), JAMES MADISON b 2/28/1826,
Greene Berry (my
line) b 7/31/1827, MARGARET b 1832, Patrick (could this
be Joseph or Joseph
P. ?) b 1834, Mary b 1835, Sarah b 1839, Martha A. b 1841, Bud b 1842,
Luginy, b 1849
