Thanks Tom, I did get a reply from La Myra Morton Lmorton(a)townsqr.com
I think she has my Julia Ann. In my excitement I failed to respond to the
list with my reply.
Glad to see I'm not alone.........Alma
<< This is not my line and I have nothing on the folks you mentioned. I do,
however, keep an "orphans" file of all CARNESs I run across in any research
I
do. When I look at the locations of my orphans birth>marriage>deaths, I
find:
(1) Armstrong County, PA>MO>CA,
(1)WV>MO>MO,
(3) Mecklenburg and Randolph Counties, NC>MO>MO,
(3) Frederick County, VA>VA>MO,
(1) VA>TN>MO, (Several) Jefferson and McMinn Counties, TN>MO>MO.
In addition, some of the NC folks apparently paused in TN, also.
If you play the odds, the best bet is the TN bunch, then the NC bunch.
Don't you just love it when someone gives you a real concrete answer??
Alas and alack, I can only give you clues.
Any other MO CARNES researchers out there?
Good Hunting.
