Alma S.,
This is not my line and I have nothing on the folks you mentioned. I do,
however, keep an "orphans" file of all CARNESs I run across in any research I
do. When I look at the locations of my orphans birth>marriage>deaths, I find:
(1) Armstrong County, PA>MO>CA,
(1)WV>MO>MO,
(3) Mecklenburg and Randolph Counties, NC>MO>MO,
(3) Frederick County, VA>VA>MO,
(1) VA>TN>MO, (Several) Jefferson and McMinn Counties, TN>MO>MO.
In addition, some of the NC folks apparently paused in TN, also.
If you play the odds, the best bet is the TN bunch, then the NC bunch.
Don't you just love it when someone gives you a real concrete answer??
Alas and alack, I can only give you clues.
Any other MO CARNES researchers out there?
Good Hunting.

Hello All,
I've not seen any activity on this list, but will give it a try in case
someone is out there.
I'm looking for the parents of my grgrandmother,
JULIA ANN CARNES VAN SCHUYVER Feb 20, 1858, MO-- June 24, 1925, OK
married: EDWARD VAN SCHUYVER on Oct 31, 1877.
Parents names: JAC & SUE CARNES lived in MO.
It's believed that JULIA was born in CHAMOIS, MO, she died in Stratford,
McClain County, OK and is buried in the McGee Cemetery.
Where did the MO CARNES migrate from?.........Alma S
