I have been doing genealogy for 35+ yrs now. I have found a Family
Genealogy of Sparta IL that was compiled by Mrs. Frank S. Torrns and her
daugher Louse A. Torrens. It is at the Family History Library in SLC. It
has listed in an decendancy type report 5 pages of Cairns family
genealogy. Call # 977.392/S1 ( there are 8 books in this report) this
was taken out of Vol. 2
My Cairns family is listed in that report, all spelling variations were
listed there.
I recently contacted Monival Albert James CAIRNS, of Pharr TX. shortly
after we made contact he died. His wife was kind and sent me pictures of
the CARNS family his father was Charles Albert CARNS listed above a
brother to my gr grandfather Robert John CARNs.
Monival had no decendants, his father evidently left thier family when
Monival was a small child he never saw him again. I wish we had made
contact with each other long before this. Would have been nice to hear
all the CARNS history he lived in Coulterville as a young man and knew
all my family.
This is my CARNS report, gladly exchange any information it any one
interested.
Thanks,
Marcia Larson
