My unrelated Streett's from Md. lived near Carnes' and Nelson's, I am
related to Nelson's on my father's side back in the 1700's...
Md spelling of Carnes is Cairnes. Found a Reason Carnes there... in
Md.
Also I am still researching the (Flora) Ann Thomas Carnes line and did
find she came from Canada. So what would she be??? Native Amercian,
Canadian America???
Native American that was made to move to Canada, she most likely was on
a reservation or in a English mission... Thomas sounds English to me...
I believe I saw on the US census she could read and write, English....
Is there no one out there from Christopher and Ann Thomas Carnes
line???...sure was enough male
Carnes" several had 12-13 children and about half boys. Settled in NE.
