Hello Gene and Other Carnes Cousins:
My ggggrandfather, Richard Carnes, was born in NJ in 1774. By 1799, he
and my ggg
grandmother Delpha McGinnis Carnes were in Franklin Co GA,
having apparently traveled NJ>VA>NC>GA. I have information that leads me
to believe (no real evidence yet) that Richard is a descendent of Richard
Carnes b 1706 NJ and Ann Groome. Don't know from which of their children
he descends, but several pieces of information lead me to believe this is
the most likely link.
Are there any Richard Carnes/Ann Groome descendents out there who would be
interested in discussing descendents???
