I found who one of the Obit. belongs too.
William A. Carnes is the son of Joseph Patrick Carnes, JR, son of Joseph
Patrick Carnes, Sr., son of Peter Carnes, son of Joseph & Comfort Cash
Carnes.

Kim,
This obit in the Polk co. web-site is the son of the brother of Asa B
Carnes, the J.P. Carnes in Texas ("P" obviously is Patrick) mentioned in
A.
B.'s obituary. We can add JP and son, William A (want to bet A
is for
Asa?) to the list. Note that Eson Hill, like Cedartown is in Polk
county. We may eventually go to the Shiloh Church to check it out but I
think Esom Hill is the hot spot.
Mr. William A. Carnes, son of Mr. "Pat" Carnes of Cross, Tex., died
recently in that state and his funeral will be preached on the second
Sunday in December the 8th. As Mr. Carnes family formerly lived near Esom
Hill in this county, his funeral will also be preached at Shiloh church on
the same date by Rev. G. B. Boman. All friends of the Carnes and Isbell
families are invited to attend. (Cedartown Standard, November 28, 1901)
