John, we have talked before and seem to match trees, but is there anyone
else out there that might know anything that might continue this line. Most
of the next three to four generations, after William, were all in OH and are
only now starting to move out of that state. The Counties include Delaware,
Madison, Monroe, Guernsey and Knox. Any cousins are welcome to join the
search and we would love to broaden the tree.

OK, I`m willing to try yet again. William Carnes, according to a son,
was
born in York Co. PA in 1792. Family moved to Guernsey Co, OH area in 1795.
Served in War of 1812. Married Jane Harris in 1818 in Guernsey Co. Moved
to
Knox Co about 1820 and to Delaware Co in 1845. Looking for his
parents.
Also,
according to his son, William`s father was at the Battle of Bunker
Hill,
was
taken prisoner and was one of only three to survive from his
company.
