I recently wrote asking if there was a Carnes DNA group.
I did not find a "purely" Carnes DNA group, but
FTdna.com says that Carnes
is included in this group
Carne, Carnell, Carnes, Carney, Carny, Kearney group
Since this was a place to place my cousin's DNA, I joined him [with his
permission]. That saved me $70. That was the difference in being able to use
a group rate for the Y-DNA37.
That was $189 plus $2 shipping.
The prices for the group rate (minus shipping) are
$99 - 12
$148 - 25
$189 - 37
$289 - 67
There are more choices, but these are the ones that will help with our
genealogy.
Ftdna.com has lots of information
By going to the Carney site, there is more information and a place to put 5
generations of lineage to the oldest ancestor. That is on my "to do" list.
Incidentally, if someone chooses the $99 price, they can be upgraded at a
later date. It is my understanding that they do not need to submit DNA
again.
FTdna.com keeps the DNA for 25 years.
If this could help unlock a door in a brick wall for anyone, wouldn't that
be wonderful?
