Perhaps you might take a moment and write a get well letter and a letter of
personal thanks to the wounded Ranger. I am mailing my letter right away.
Join me in thanking this brave young soldier, and praying for his speedy
recovery.

Honoring Rangers Killed and Wounded
in Action in Iraq
This request to the Sons & Daughters came in from RBA Secretary Tom
Herring. Please keep Ranger PFC Feldbusch in your prayers, and if at
all possible I'm sure a card or note would be appreciated by him and his
family. He is critical, after being seriously injured in Iraq.
Three other Rangers were killed in the same incident. Captain Russell
Rippetoe, A. Co., 3rd Btn, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, was buried
on Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery. The Sons and Daughters was
represented at the funeral by Karla Merritt. Also attending was WW II
Ranger Carl Lehmann, 1st Battalion and the 3rd Battalion, and a veteran of
campaigns in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. Carl was captured at
Cisterna. He is an attorney in Baltimore and a former President of the
Ranger Battalions Association of World War II. The Active Duty Rangers
deeply appreciate our support and prayers. They are trained to perform
some serious missions, and this is what they have been doing in
Iraq. Thanks for taking a few moments to honor our Rangers. The "old
guys" ( the World War II Rangers ) love and respect the young Active Duty
Rangers, so we are also honoring "our" Rangers when we honor the young
ones. RLTW David Williams
Here is the note from Tom Herring :
David - perhaps your "crew" can handlle this with a card and a tender note.
