Hi Everyone,
Based on what I have this is Hugh Carnahan - b. Sept 1816 - son of James Carnahan and
Catherine Drugan.
I have him in the 1850, 1860, 1870, & 1880 census if anyone would like that
information.
Also... in the report of his will it mentions grandchildren. But... none of the census
records reflect marriage or children. Would anyone know who his wife and children were?
Take care - Emma

Hugh Carnahan's Will
The will of the late Hugh Carnahan, made by him on Sept. 22, 1880, filed in the Circuit
Court yesterday. After providing for his debts and funeral expenses the deceased makes
the following bequeathments: To his brother, William Carnahan, of Coschocton County,
Ohio, $200; to Hannah Stevenson, wife of Dr. J. E. Stevenson, his old partner, all his
interest (the undivided half) in the lot, 329 Brady street, on which the drugstore stands,
and all the furniture in the apartments which he occupied at Dr. Stevenson's
residence; to Dr. Stevenson ten shares of the stock in the First National Bank, this city,
also thirty-five shares in his own right and his one-half interest in 126 shares of
capital stock of the Steuben Coal Company, of this city, held jointly with Dr. Stevenson,
and also his one-half interest in the notes and book accounts of the firm Stevenson &
Carnahan; to Mary S. Streeper, wife of Charles S. Streeper, $200; to John S. Streeper, son
of John S. Streeper, $200 and!
his gold watch; so Charles S. Streeper, Jr., his rifle gun and $200; to Alfred Streeper
and May Ella Streeper, children of Charles S. Streeper, $200 each; to Dr. Stevenson and
John S. Streeper, share and share alike of all his interest in the store building ???
Brady street, and the residence of his estate is bequeathed to Dr. Stevenson and wife.
The deceased then directs that a monument or tombstone be erected to mark the place of his
grave, and after a note in which he states explicitly that he has not intended to bequeath
anything to his grand-children nor his three brothers, Adam, Andrew, and John, nor to his
two sisters, he appoints Dr. Stevenson and Charles S. Streeper, Sr., his executors without
bond. It is positively not know what the exact valuation of the entire estate will be,
but Dr. Stevenson gives it as his opinion that it will amount to at least $?0,000,
possibly several thousand dollars more.
