My only source of info. in Ok is in Muskogee and she is a darn good
genealogist (not professionally) and has been at it a long time. Here is her
response to my query:
"First census for Oklahoma/Indian Territory is 1900. That guy did'nt live
very long. Newspapers obits for that period are not available either. Our
papers start in 1890. Usually no obits anyway. My advice is that he write
the Carter county Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 1014, Ardmore, OK 73402 and
ask them for suggestions. I don't know what they have available there. We
have cemetery readings and that helps us sometimes, but he already knows
that. Some societies have printed books that took extracts from early
newspapers. He just needs to ask for suggestions about what he wants. That
is all I can tell you."
That's not much but it's all I could get. Norman L. Carnahan Russellville,

Hi All,
I can't find any info on this person. Do any of you know who this was. The
dates indicate
that he died before Oklahoma became a state. It's not going to be
easy. If
any of you have
an answer, please cc the info to me also so that I may keep in the
loop
and perhaps usdate
my database witht he information found.
