This carneyc(a)ipa.net ---I am now free of the virus. I have had my computor
scanned
both by
www.macfee.com and Norton antivirus scanner, so I'm clean.
If you have not scanned your unit with someone like macfee, I would
suggest you do and then install an antiviral CD program. I was advised to
do so but failed to take good advice.
The viris I had was one that come in through email. The person sending
it
does not know they have it and in many cases did not send it--it sends
its-self through your unit.
Sorry if caused you concern. carneyc

I had Norton when I bought my computer, and I've used up the 8 that gave
me.
Then I bought a Macfee at Costco and have tried to do the updates from
their webpage, but can't get in
without a password. Have e-mailed them and no one has contacted me.
Do I
need to purchase one and install on my hard drive and if so can I get
updates from the net? Also, it
doesn't sound like they can keep up with all the virus', so it
sounds like
you are always behind the gun to get somekind of virus?

I've uploaded most of the Josiah VanKirk Thompson Journals to
MyFamily.com.
There's Carnahan info scattered through the volumes. They are VERY rough,
but to make them accessible even as I try to get them cleaned up, I decided
this was the best plan. If you'd like to be issued a username & password
to access the journals, please let me know. They are in File Cabinet at
the site. Please read the JV Thompson Journal Project also.
