Hello, my name is Douglas Rohde and I would very much appreciate your help with a puzzle I
am facing with a Mr. William Thompson Carnahan (1770-1838). I believe he was born in or
near Cumberland County and moved to Greeville, Ohio as an adult. Apparently, he is the son
of John Carnahan (1720-1778) and Eleanor Jack (1735-1805) of Cumberland County and has a
half-brother named James Carnahan (1741-1808), whose mother was Sara Allen (1711-1792). I
am trying to establish a definitive connection between William and James. Can someone
please help me better understand if this connection exists? I only need to know if William
Thompson Carnahan was born in or near Cumberland County (but evidence of a connection
between these two would be amazingly welcomed).
I am very grateful for whatever help you can give because this has been a deep mystery for
quite some time now. If you don't know, can you point me to someone who can tell me?
Thank you and have a very nice day.
