Phil, I haven't found an obituary. I am involved at a point in my life I
can't even get to the library to order Story Co IA newspapers on
interlibrary loan much less get them here and read them. If I could find
someone in IA who would be willing to look for the obit, I would be glad to
pay a reasonable fee. Also, I am thinking IF Elizabeth went back to PA for
her 100th birthday to have her photo taken there may be something in a
newspaper there. Thus I am anxious to find out all I can. When I do find
out about her, I shall be letting you all know!
I expect her to be the mother of my Fanny Carnahan Woods, but who knows.
They even left out her martial status on the mortality schedule. I hope in
the year 2000 we are all very careful about the information we give to the
census taker. And ladies, be sure you give your maiden name right along
with your given and married name. I will be Gayle Smith Jones (not really
my name) not just Gayle Jones on the census!
