Hello Carnahan Ressearchers--
I am writing an article for American Girl Magazine featuring Carnahan
female relatives from generations back. Does anyone have any stories about
Mary Stuart (born in the 1770s or 1980s--married William Carnahan of Co.
Antrim, Ireland, in Pennsylvania after meeting him on the ship that carried
them both to America) or Elizabeth Holdren Carnahan (born 1815 in Columbia
County, Pennsylvania--married Andrew Jackson Carnahan) as girls? If anyone
had pictures of Elizabeth as a girl that would be very valuable also.
In your debt,
Laurie Carnahan

If you haven't already done so, you might want to write to the Soc.
Sec. Admin. and obtain a copy of her SS-5 form. You might also
write and obtain a copy of her death certificate and an obit, if one
was printed in the Joliet paper.
I haven't looked at the 1880, 1900, 1910 soundex for Ohio. You might
want to do that also. Since Charles was 16 in the 1920 census, you
should be able to find him at 6 years of age in 1910. Perhaps that
census will give you more information about his father.
