Hi, Phil,
So glad to see your email this morning. I am also descended from the
Carnahans. I have corresponded with Bob Carnahan in Tennessee about them.
I
believe he contacted you about me also. I have a copy of the email
between
you two. My problem is I have tried and tried to contact each of you
but
the
email always comes back undeliverable. Maybe it is something with
AOL - I
don't know. Anyway, I did get the LDS census film for 1860 for Monroe
County, WI. Here it is:
James Carnahan 53 Farmer Born in PA
Rosanna Carnahan 50 "
Adam Carnahan 25 Raftsman "
Archibald Carnahan 20 Farm Laborer "
Andrew Carnahan 18 Do (?) "
James M. Carnahan 16 Do (?) "
Josiah Carnahan 10 "
William Carnahan 8 "
Margaret Carnahan 6 "
My Cornelius wasn't listed. Don't know why. He would have been between
Josiah and William. His obit listed his parents as James and Rosanna
Carnahan and two surviving brothers as Joseph and William. Maybe Josiah
took
the name Joseph. I can't figure it out. Everything else jives.
I think
I
will try the 1870 Census now. Takes a couple of weeks to get the
census
films, but will keep in touch.
Would you please contact Bob and give him this info? I would appreciate
it
since I can't reach him. Thanks. Gloria
