Marie,
Thanks for the information. None of it sounds as if it connects with me, but
I'm filing it for future reference. Thanks for going to the trouble to send
it.

Hi everyone,
As you know I don't write often but read all your messages. May 12 my son
and I took a little trip to Picher, OK; Treece, KS and Miami, OK. That is
where a number of my Carnahan family lived. I visited "Green Lawn Cemetery
and took pictures of some of the graves I could find. Here is a little
information I have:
Lee Thomas Carnahan (30 Sep 1874 - 14 Jul 1933) Lead & Zinc Miner, Farmer
and General store owner. Born in Caro, IL, died in Treece, Cherokee Co, KS,
buried Green Lawn Cemetery. Son of : John William Carnahan, Jr. and Nancy
Catherine Hendricks.
Married Villa May Burns (10 Dec 1892 - 12 Jul 1979). May was born in
Joplin, McDonald, MO and died Pitcher, Ottawa, OK. Buried at Green Lawn
Cemetery. Housewife and Storekeeper.
Here is where I need the help. Does anyone have any information on her
parents: I have a name of Thomas Allen Burns and Lucinda (?). These were
given to me by my mother-in-law, now deceased. She did not know birth/death
dates or locations. So far, I have been unable to find a location, checked
MO, KS, OK, and CO.
My mother-in-law was Opal Mildred Carnahan (daughter of Lee Thomas) (3 Oct
1914 - 16 Nov 1999), wife of Samuel E. Keeler, Sr.
Elmer Lee Carnahan (son of Lee Thomas) (4 Jan 1917 - 15 Jan 1994) Joplin, Mo
and Pitcher, OK respectively and his wife Treva Viola (?) (20 Oct 1919 - 16
May 1998) are both buried at Green Lawn Cemetery.
Does anyone have any information of the Burns family above or know Treva's
last name, or know about Louella Carnahan Nelson, a sister born 18 Apr 1920
in Joplin, MO?
All help appreciated. Thanks for all the good information you have shared.
