Good Morning John,
No... I haven't found Abraham in 1840 or 1850 yet. I had tried before and I
worked on it again last night - no luck. Nor is Abraham listed as an heir in
that 1846 land sale to Jessie H. Gilley in Cannon Co., Tennessee with all the
other heirs of Hugh.
Was sort of hoping that someone on the list might have found him in 1840 or
1850..<g>.
Abraham Carnahan married Cynthia Price on 3 Feb 1829 in Rutherford Co., Tn.
I wondered if Abraham might have died without children and Cynthia remarried
or something. But so far not luck there either.
Let me know if you come up with anything or any ideas....
Thanks - Emma

Emma,
Have you been able to locate a wayward Abraham Carnahan anywhere in the 1840
or 1850 census?
He could very well be a child of Hugh Carnahan. I don't recall ever seeing
him in the Missouri group. Hiram Carnahan, son of Hugh Carnahan did migrate
to Oregon in the 1840's. He settled there.
That's all I know.
