Hi, Joan...I noticed your post on the book, "Carnahan's of
Westmoreland".
Is
this book still in print or can it be purchased somewhere? This is
the
first
time I have heard mention of such a book. I know of a book titled
"The
Smiths of Big Spring Plantation", that includes information on a Carnahan
line that migrated to Ohio. I don't recall that it had information on a
William Carnahan though. My g-g-gf James Clark Carnahan was born in
Westmoreland Co., PA, in 23 Jan. 1823, according to records of my aunt who
did research on this family in the late 70s. I have never been able to
verify that he was born there, or anywhere else. He migrated to Richland
Co., OH with his parents James and Elizabeth ? Carnahan sometime in the
early
1830s and is well documented from then on through marriage records,
bible
records, death records and census records. James Clark Carnahan married
Mary
Bell Glasgow 22 Feb 1841 in Richland Co., OH and died 24 June 1902 in
the
same place. Any help would be appreciated.
