Norman .. I have been studying the Orphans Court Documents you posted
concerning
Adam and Sarah Carnahan in Westmoreland County PA. Are you able
to give me further information concerning their son David K and their
daughter Elizabeth who was a single woman? Can you help me a bit with Adam
and Sarah's birth dates or those of David K and Elizabeth?
I have a David K. Carnahan born about 1805 or 6 in PA. Also an
Elizabeth
born in PA in the late 1790's or early 1800's depending on the
census we
search. I am curious if these two could be Adam's children.
Living next to David K. in Iowa in 1855 is Mrs. William (Fanny
Carnahan)
Woods. After David's death in 1864, Elizabeth Carnahan appears on the
census
residing with the Woods until her death which appears in the 1880 mortality
schedule in Iowa.
I have a photo of Fanny Carnahan Woods born about 1814 and I believe
I
have a photo of Elizabeth. I wonder if Fanny might not be a niece of
Elizabeth and David K.
Thank you for any thoughts on this research brick wall.
Gayle in Kansas
