Hi everyone - I don't think I have posted this before - but I thought I would send it
along. There are more records related to this court case but this particular one names
the children of William Thompson Carnahan and his wife Frances Quigley. (Note her name is
spelled Francis in the court records but that is the male equivalent.) William Thompson
Carnahan is the proven son of John Carnahan and Eleanor of Westmoreland County,

November 1854 - E.L. Carnahan vs. Francis Carnahan et al. Petition to make deed. Filed
5-18-1854. Elias L. Carnahan states that on or about 5-12-1837 he made a written
agreement with his father, William T. Carnahan and mother Francis Carnahan then both in
full life where they agreed to convey him the E1/2 NW1/4 Section 6, Township 9, Range 3.
That William T. Carnahan held right of E.L. Carnahan in same and said William T. Carnahan
continued to reside on said piece of land. The consideration for the land was that E.L.
Carnahan agreed to support his father and mother during their natural lives. That he took
possession of said land and supported his father and mother Francis Carnahan is still with
him and is provided for by him. That E.L. Carnahan said plaintiff and his mother are both
desirous to sell and remove to the West. William T. Carnahan, dec'd. Widow Francis
