Obit - Indiana Evening Gazette - Indiana, Pennsylvania - 16 Jan 1958:
Earl Carnahan of 468 Phila. St., Indiana, Pa., passed away Thursday, January 16, 1958, at
3:15 a.m. at his late home.
Born December 8, 1890, in Armstrong Twp., Indiana County, Pa., he was a son of the late
Harry and Sarah Peterman Carnahan. The early years of his life were spent in Indiana
County; for 30 years he lived in Central Falls, Rhode Island, returning to Indiana a year
and a half ago. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Indiana and of Indiana
Post No. 1989 V.F.W. Mr. Carnahan was a World War I Veteran, serving with Co., F., 110th
Inf. from June 1916 to May 1918.
Surviving are his wife, Maie Stout Carnahan; three brothers, Lloyd, Pittsburgh; Marshall,
Indiana; William, Pawtucket, R.I.; and one sister, Mrs. J. R. Short, Indiana, Pa.
Friends will be received Friday between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. and Saturday 2 and 4 and
7 and 9 p.m. at Robinson-Lytle's, 36 N. 7th St., Indiana, where services will be
conducted Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev Lawrence R. Doak will officiate.
Interment will be made in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.
