Hi Joy,
I have that marriage in my database. I have received information on this
CARNAHAN line from a couple of different sources. However, all of it
is on other branches of this line.
The data submitted to me only shows Sarah CARNAHAN b. abt 1766,
the daughter of Hugh CARNAHAN and Mary ????. It shows a marriage
to a Thomas Blair, but there are no dates or locations.
This couple connects to a rather large line of CARNAHANs that ended
up in Cane Hill Arkansas.
I can send you what I have on the rest of this line, if you'd like, which
you can use as a guide for further CARNAHAN research.

Subject: RUTHERFORD CO TN--EARLY 1800'S
I have some reason to believe that my Thomas Blair married a woman
whose
surname was Carnahan and came to Rutherford Co TN about 1800. In the
1820's they left the County and went to Arkansas. The daughter,
Elizabeth Blair, married David Barton Hall about 1814 and had a son,
Franklin Donald Hall 16 March 1815. Elizabeth Carnahan? Blair died
shortly thereafter and David Barton Hall stayed on his land near
Readyville and raised his son there. My question is, Can anyone confirm
that this Thomas Blair was married to Sarah Carnahan? They came from VA
or NC, I believe and were already married when they arrived in
Rutherford Co. The next question is, Does anyone know of any other
Carnahans that were there in that time period.
Would appreciate an early reply because I am going to Rutherford Co next
week and would like to find out more there.
