I would like to fill in some missing pieces of the puzzle, with your kind
assistance.
Adam Carnahan (b. 1743; d. 1815) of Bell Twp., Westmoreland County, PA and
his wife, Sara Collins Kennedy (d. 1842), had a son named James. According
to Ophans Court documents filed, in 1842, by Matthew Carnahan after the
death of his mother, to settle the estate of Adam Carnahan, his brother
James "went to Kentucky" about 1807. At present, I have no information to
definitely link any James Carnahan in Kentucky with the Pennsylvania family.
Phil Carnahan found a James Carnahan, born about 1772, in Westmoreland
County, and who was in Kentucky in the early 1800's. That "Kentucky" James
Carnahan married Susannah HUNT, 16 Mar 1807, in Mason County,
Kentucky. The limited information says that they had a son named William
Wilson CARNAHAN, born abt 1810/11.
Can you help me to fill in the gaps on this missing link? In particular, I
would like to have any definite evidence to link "Kentucky" James Carnahan
with the family of my ancestor, Adam Carnahan (b. 1743) who lived in
Westmoreland County, PA..
Thanks.
