Message Board Post:
I'm trying to find the connection of Henry and Susan CARNAHAN, living in Winnebago
County, Illinois in 1860 to the only child of my relation, Elizabeth BOORMAN. She had a
single son, Albert FLUENT/FLUANT, born in 1847. In 1860, the fourteen-year-old Albert is
living with the CARNAHANs. In 1870, Susan CARNAHAN (widowed) is living (presumably) with
her married daughter, Olive CARNAHAN MAKEPEACE and her family in Floyd County, Iowa.
Albert FLUENT is married and living in Kansas with his wife Lucretia STRAWN. The
CARNAHANs, MAKEPEACEs, STRAWNs and BOORMANs were all in Winnebago County, Illinois at the
same time between 1840 and 1860.
Can anyone in the CARNAHAN line help me sort out this morass?
Thanks,
Tad Davis
