I don't believe so, Emma. I ran a Google search for Knights of
Pythias and Carnahan and the name which keeps coming up is
James R. Carnahan.
It is my belief this is James Richard Carnahan (1841-1905). He was
the son of Rev. James Aikman Carnahan (1802-1879) and Martha
Ann Dawson (1817-????).
All the references I've seen keep referring to the same guy, the same
military unit in the Civil War, etc. I still haven't found a roster of
members for the Knights of Pythias which lists his full name or
provides a bio on him.
