I have only recently started during research on my McNeely/Carnahan ancestors. Tommye Gaspard (now deceased) was my first cousin. I noticed that she had posted a message. Thomas Matison McNeely, Jr. was my g grandfather. His wife's name was Jane A. Carnahan, my g grandmother, born July 25, 1834 and died February 26, 1899. Recent information that I received reports she is buried at the Carnahan graveyard.
And... another one...
If you haven't tried this site do so. It is terrific. Take care - Emma
It is the Civil War
Soldiers and Sailors System. They seem to have input all the names from all
the regimental rosters on both sides of the WBTS. You can search for a
specific name or for unit rosters. The URL is http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/ .
Rosters can be viewed online, or (by using a cut-and-paste technique) saved
as an Excel spread sheet.
Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would pass this site on. It is new. I looked at it last
night. It appears they are still adding data so you might want to check back
ever once in a while.
Take care - Emma
I would like to announce that the Missouri Birth and Death Records Database

http://www.sos.state.mo.us/archives/resources/birthdeath/. This database is
the result of the efforts of over 300 volunteers working on this project
since 1999. The database currently contains over 185,000 records from 87
counties.
The database can also be accessed through the Missouri State Archives'
homepage at http://www.sos.state.mo.us/archives/.
