Dear Jenny and Karelle:
Thank you both for taking the time to respond my posting. Hope springs eternal in our
search for our Irish ancestors.
Sometimes it is difficult to follow the names we read in these postings without seeing it
in a gedcom file. Maybe we focus on your great, great grandfather PATRICK, who was born
circa 1811 in Kilmurry and married to Bridgett Clarence (and his brother John, born circa
1812 in Ennis) and especially your gr.gr.gr. grandfather JOHN born circa 1790, married to
a woman also named Bridgett.
Do you have any information of these men? Did they have brothers and sisters? Various
marriages?
Again, my search is to trace a James C. Carmody, born circa 1830 & migrated to the US
in 1851, to his parents John & Margaret (circa 1800) and to his grandparents John and
Anne (Hogan) Carmody (circa 1770-75) in County Clare.
The dates of your gr gr gr grandfather JOHN birth, circa 1790, and my James C's
father's birthdate (circa 1800) are close enough more closely.
Again , thank you for your response.
Tom Carmody
