Hi all,
I'm looking for my Great Grandfather, John CARMODY, who married a LeGUERIERE
(unsure of spelling here). All I know about him (and don't have any
verification of this) was that he was born in County Cork, Ireland ,
possibly about 1860, and was still alive about 1910 and in Portland, Oregon.
His wife's first name "MIGHT" be Felicity and I believe she was French
Canadian. They may have lived in the Spokane, Washington area about 1900,
but I haven't found any verification of this.
The only child that I know of, but there were most likely more, is Genevieve
CARMODY, my Paternal Grandmother. She was born about 1881, I think in
Canada. "Jenny" married Fred Vernon ST.JOHN on November 27, 1902 in Spokane,
Washington (reason I think John & family may have lived in Spokane). It's
also possible that they came from Michigan, as that is where Fred was born
and raised until about 1886 -- or from North Dakota, where his family spent
several years before continuing to Spokane.
I have info on Fred and Jenny - but nothing on Jenny's prior years or her
ancestry and would like to learn more about this lost line!
Any ideas ?? TIA
Verne
