Hi fellow searches,
I'm looking for Dugald Carmichael who had a son Archibald born 22 February 1802 in
Beuldorock. This could be Baldarrock. Dugald died before 1851 possibly in the cholera
outbreak in Baldarrock in 1845.
Archibald married Betty MacMillan from Ackachoisk( Spelling is debatable) on 23 February
1822 at Kilcalmonnell and Kilberry Parish.
Archibald was a fisherman.
In 1851 The Carmicahels lived at the family home "Bruchnasuigh" Tarbert, Loch
Fyne.
Archi and Betty's children were. Angus 1823, Malcolm 1827, Janet 1829 John ?),
Elizabeth 1830, Mary 1833 Catherine 1835 born Tarbert, Effie 1837, Euphemia 1840 and janet
1843.
Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine,Euphemia and Janet were all christened at Kilcalmonell &
Kilberry.
Effie was christened 14 Nov.1837 in South Capdale.
I have a cemetery entry for a Dugald Carmichael died 1847 aged 75 at Kilnaughton Cemetery.
I have no idea where this place is or is it even near Tarbert.
Betty was possibly born in Keppoch to angus on 16 March 1809.
I need to work on this line.
Any connections out there? I'd love to know
Sally Scott
