Everyone,
This is the first chance I've had to contact my lists. I have been
off-line for a week and will be unable to get to the computer on a
regular basis for awhile longer. If you've written and received no
response, please excuse my tardiness in replying, and know that I will
answer at the very first opportunity.
The eye of Hurricane Katrina passed directly over us and we have
been without electric power ever since. We now have a generator and
it's enough for two electric fans and, as I've just discovered, my
laptop computer. Phone service, needed for me to be on-line, has just
been partially restored, but it is still sporadic.
We had sustained winds of 150 mph; we lost 42 trees and our fence,
but we are among the very fortunate, the house suffered only minor
roof damage. Other places have fared far worse than our area.
There is much devastation in South Louisiana and South Mississippi.
Please hold the victims of this terrible storm in your thoughts.
If you need my assistance, let me know and I will reply just as
soon as I can.
Please forgive cross-posts.
