Hi Joy
The first time that I ever saw or heard of Heritage Quest was close to six
years ago, it came through the Jobe page(again). It was being offered free
through a Large Library in Ohio. It was only on for about one week, they
had so many hits that it really messed Heritage Quest page up. They were
planning on having it on for a full month.
I was on it continuously during the time it was on, I found so much and
instead of printing it all out I sent my self the page. Dumb! when I got
back on again to start printing the link had been shut down. I tried for
several years to find somewhere I could join it with no luck. I went to our
local library close to three years ago and they offered it.
But it seems to be a little different than when it went through the other
Library, at that time they had many old newspapers also attached for
viewing. And when I did join at Harrison there are no newspapers available.
So I'm assuming that they came from the Library and not Quest. Either way
it's really nice to have census, I still have Ancestry and use their census
but also check Quest now and then. I've never ordered any of their
available printed material but hope to this winter when I have time to
search again.
With this addiction we need all of the freebee's we can get.
Bren

Hi Brenda,
I certainly appreciate your forwarding this information. I did not know
about it and I was very glad to learn about it. I think that I will use
it a lot. I went to the Library and got my Kansas State Library today.
Thanks
Joy
