Hi Mitzi,
I have some links that you might like to check out. The Isle of
Lismore has a website with some wonderful photos:
http://www.isleoflismore.com/
And I've done a page on Lismore, "A Tribute to the Isle of Lismore:"
www.geocities.com/twincousin2334/Isle_of_Lismore
Some other Carmichael pages on my site,
Carmichaels on the Jupiter of Larne, including comments made about
reasons for leaving to go to America:
www.geocities.com/twincousin2334/Carmichaels_aboard_Jupiter_of_Larne
The family page about my line, containing the Carmichael chapter from
"A History of Marion County, South Carolina:"

Miscellaneous Carmichael records:
www.geocities.com/twincousin2334/McCormick_Carmichael_Records
Family and cemetery photos of (my) Daniel's son, Evander, and daughter,
Rebecca:

I hope you enjoy touring Lismore and "meeting" some of your cousins!
Nancy
Greetings,
I descend through Daniel's son, John C. Carmichael whose last residence was
in Sumter County, GA.
We are the "C" group in The Scottish Highlander Carmichaels of the
Carolinas by Major-General Roderick L. Carmichael.. Are any others of this
line?
I enjoyed Nancy's comments. Has anyone done any searching in Scotland?
The Carmichaels are my only verified European link, and I'd love to know
about their lives on the Isle of Lismore.
Regards,
