Hi Nancy, I tried to send this once before but I must have gotten the wrong
address so I will try again.
Greetings:
Since I am a new subscriber, I am not sure what a roll call is. After
reading some of the E-Mails, I
have decided that it is just telling who your known ancestors are and who
you are looking for. I am descended from John Carmichael 1756, Lismore, and
Mary Carmichael, 1756, Lismore: Dugald Carmichael, 26 Oct. 1783, Lismore,
Mary Carmichael, 14 Oct. 1787, Lismore: John Carmichael 9 Apr 1822,
Lismore; d 29 Nov 1884 in Illinois and Sarah Livingstone, b 6 Nov 1829,
Lismore, d 7 May 1920, Vassar, KS. John Livingstone Carmichael, b1 Jun 1848,
Lismore, d 21 Feb 1921, Plainville, KS, Louise Gregory17 Aug 1871, d 4 Jul
1945, Coulterville, IL., Ralph Carmichael, b 29 Sept. 1901, Coulterville,
IL, d 9 Apr, 1997, Plainville, KS. Maude Winters, b 5 Apr, 1904, d Sept.,
1988.
Since Lismore is such a small island, I am wondering if there is anyway that
I could find out if my ancestors are connected to the brothers/cousins,
Duncan, Archibald, Dougald, John and Gilbert that came to America in
1770-1780. I have the names of the siblings of a lot of my ancestors but
not so many names of their spouses. I certainly would be interested to
communicate and trade information with anyone who thinks that this may be a
possibility.
