Dear group,
Received this from an another list owner, thought that it was very kind of her
to share it with us.
Donna.
Hi Donna
Noticed that you do the Carmichael site---I live in southern AZ
and Carmichael is quite known here.......this is a bit of history of
the Carmichaels that were here.
William C. Carmichael, a native of Flint, Michigan, joined the Army in
1910. While stationed at Fort Huachuca, he was a cook, attached to a
pack train with the 10th Cavalry and served in that capacity until his
discharge in 1915. Serving with him in the Army was a fellow cook
named Henry Goudy. They were discharged at the same time and the
Carmichaels and their friend "Hank" remained in the Garden Canyon (name
changed) area to homestead.
His wife, Margaret, was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1877, but the
family moved to Tacoma, Washington and her maiden name was Zeigen. Her
sister, Lillian, married Jack Feldman.
hope it helps someone,

Dear list members,
Welcome All!! We are now three days old, and 10 strong, hopefully we will
continue to grow. This is a welcome message, but I am also using this message
to make sure everybody is getting their mail. Over the next few days feel free
to let us all know about your Carmichael connections and who you are looking
for, you never know maybe one of us out here may have an answer for you. I plan
to post a message myself, until then Happy hunting!!
