Hi there,
Do you have reason to believe that Shaw's Lane has moved from its original location?
I am getting quite a lot of current hits for Shaw's Lane.
I'd say the best bet would be the local history society or the local library in
Carmarthen, especially if they have a local studies librarian, for information about the
layout. There are some companies that sell copies of old maps, but they tend to be ones
of the whole county rather than towns, but again the library is likely to know if there is
an existing map of the town.
The Dyfed family history society has free access to the 1830s Pigots, which covers
Carmarthen too:
http://www.dyfedfhs.org.uk/res-pigot.php
but that doesn't appear to include any maps, just a useful directory of people by
surname and their occupations and addresses.
I'll keep looking, I've been meaning to try to find an out-of-copyright map of
Carmarthen for my own family history.

Lan, used to be in the mid to late nineteenth century., I know the town now quite well.
Thanks
