There are obviously problems when using Chrome & Firefox for some reason, I have been
using
Internet Explorer since we started this System 10 years ago, with no problem, Why has it
appeared now 10 years later.
Something Firefox & Chrome have obviously produced to prevent access, which would
likely be security issues.
If you are using any other explorer except Internet Explorer, I would suggest you ask the
providers
Why, you cannot access Windows Server Side Script [ASP]. Databases, After all you are all
using Windows Platform.
It is advised to Use Microsoft Internet Explorer when using this Website

I am planning to visit Carmarthen in a couple of months.
My GGGGrandfather was buried at St David's on 11 April1865. Does anyone
know where I can find a record of the plot in which he was buried (and
perhaps a schematic of the cemetery layout)? My hope is that although
the church is no longer in use, I might find a gravestone - and just
maybe find some additional family information thereon.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Les,
There is a listing of the burials in the Archives on Richmond terrace.
They are open Tuesday to friday from 9AM to 5PM closing for 1 hr at lunch
12:30. I too have burials in St. david's nut the graceyard is a horrible
mess. There are many graves that have sunk and the grounds to the right of
the church hadn't been mowed for ages - the last time I was there. If you
are lucky they might have been buried to the left of the Church, but I
think this is mainly more recent burials. The listing at the archives
doesn't give grave locations (I don't seem to remember), so I wish you good
luck. Be careful the right hand side graveyard is pretty precarious!!!
Hope this Helps!!!
Cheers
Sian
I travelled to Carmarthen yesterday and made a beeline for the Archives
at Richmond Terrace.
Having retrieved the relevant file and read through the listings three
times, you can imagine my dismay at
not finding my GGGgrandfather listed - nor wife and first child! It's
quite possible that they were on the
list as "undecipherable" but that is no help at all.
Still, I went to the Church but quite possibly, even if I had known the
plot number, it would have been impossible to find because the graveyard
to the right of the Church is now mostly under 4 to 5 feet-high brambles
and weeds. It would
take a week to clear it all . I did look against the side walls but
there was nothing of relevance there. What a shame that
it has been allowed to deteriorate so!
All-in-all, a wasted journey - though not a total loss as I was able to
photograph the houses in Priory Street and Church Street where he and
his family had lived. Still, a huge disappointment.
But Carmarthen is a most friendly little town and the scenery along the
A40 is beyond compare!
