HI Gail
Yes, it looks like the library has changed its policy, I purchased a book
for a member when it first came out, from this country though, and they only
charged one pound postage......they must have learnt their lesson.....I did
tell them that the postage was incorrect, but they said it was their policy
to only charge one pound !!!!
The problem with this book is that is is so heavy it will be expensive to
post anywhere........4 pound 7 ounzes - do you still use pounds and ounces?
We now use grams, but understand it more in imperial weights.....
Perhaps if you ever know of someone visiting this part of the world you may
be lucky??
Pauline

Hi Eileen and Pauline
I contacted Carmarthen County Council about the possibility of purchasing
the book and having it sent seamail to Australia. I had a reply from
Llanelli Library to say that the book is 15 pounds and postage also 15
pounds, so at the moment it's still on my 'wish' list!
Cheers
Gail

HI Eileen
Quite a few book shops in Llanelli sell this book, WHSmiths, Dragon Books
in
the arcade and Llanelli library......
This weighs 4lb 7 oz so as you can imagine quite a large book, and it is
full of interesting information. I know that there are a few books on
Llanelli, but this is the best one by far, as it has so much information
in
it on both the maritime and industrial times here in Llanelli and
Burry
Port....
I did go to the library once to ask about posting to this country and they
said 'all books are one pound'....I said you must be joking, and they
looked
at me stupid.....but they must have lost quite a bit of money on
posting
it.....
I can see you on the fhs pages, can you see yourself there yet? I have no
idea why it is happening, I have subscribed you again......and you are
there....
speak soon Pauline

December. Where can I buy the above book if we manage to make the trip
down
to Llanelli? Eileen
